Knickknack, Pat is Back, Leave the Gays Alone: Marriage is NOT Your's Alone

So Pat, I have a question for you. Actually, I have a series of questions for you. First, you sit there and prattle on about how much God is against gays and how God punishes them since gays are apparently in such conflict with whatever it is God wants of man. Listening to you one might think that your big bad Christian God is hovering over everyone's shoulder, waiting to see if people choose a member of the same sex and if so, when would be a good time to punish them. Sex between people in a private relationship is between those individuals and not those individuals and you and your amorously defective God.
Secondly, why do you think that everyone has to follow the same spiritual path that you do? Don't you know that the spiritual rules of your faith apply only to those who choose to believe such, and that such rules should NEVER have any jurisdiction over political policy and legislation within a free society? Don't you understand the reasoning behind that line of thinking? In case you did not know it is for the safety of the citizens of that free society and to help prevent one group from impinging on the rights of another.
Your faith, the Christian faith, is so desperate to retain its inconsiderate control of those who want nothing to do with religion (or at least nothing to do with the laws of religion) that many within such an ailing institution purposely misinterpret what freedom of religion is.
Freedom of religion does not include forcing those around you to believe the same, harassing them with fantastic tales of divine punishment. No one would stop you from preaching such in church. No one would stop you from preaching such on the streets or to the masses.
However, what DOES need to be stopped is the insistence of Christianity to try to knead and form the rights of the citizens of this nation into legislation that may be enjoyed solely by those with beliefs the same as yours.

No Pat, people who are coming around to ensuring ALL citizens of this nation have equal rights have not lost their minds. I do, however, think that you and people like you are out of your gourds if you truly thought that your control on the lives of those different than you would last forever.
Religion has NO rightful place in the formation of the laws, rules, and rights of this country. It is a given, and recorded history is testament to this fact, that when any religion is in charge of government and the laws that government produces, those who believe and live differently from the mannerisms and customs of the ruling religious elite ALWAYS find their rights badly damaged and severely stunted.

Pat, you sad mother fucker, gay marriage is NOT A CRIME like the other actions that you mention that are. THAT is the difference. And your insistent theory that God's word is final so that is that is a huge error. Listen carefully, Pat, as I am typing this very slowly so that you will understand.
You say marriage is only for a man and a woman and not same-sex. You say this has been established by God as evidence in the Bible indicates. You say that ALL of God's word is infallible and eternal truth which really would make sense, right?
I mean, if God said something eons ago then by His own definition of Himself as everlasting whatever it was that He said is theoretically still the absolute truth. And it really must be this way because your own Bible says the heavens and the earth will pass away, but the word of God stands forever, right? I hope you are still with me on this...
...So, when it comes to what the Bible says and the truth of such words when applying such to modern times, it is an all-or-nothing approach. If you take something out of the Bible and try to apply such to your life you must take ALL of the Bible and apply it accordingly to your life. All-or-nothing.
Stoning people to death is a popular penalty in the Bible. Rape IS in the Bible. Lies and trickery are in the Bible such as when Jacob conned his father into thinking that Jacob was actually Esau; Jacob gets away with this, by the way). Adultery is rampant. Incest is well beyond rampant and into the land of being a given; in some cases the incest is not chastised but rather is validated as necessary to continue the lineage. Murder is committed in the Bible by the chosen people. Theft is another. There is even reference in the Old Testament in Nehemiah 5:5 of people needing money to live on and these people had to sell their children into slavery
There is a very long list of atrocities in the Bible committed under the hands of people acting for God, or even by God Himself. How about when Abraham was about two shakes of a lambs tail from butchering his son as a sacrifice to God? How about Lot's daughters seducing him so that they would bear children? How about when God was supposedly so angry with the Children of Israel that He purposely allowed them to be taken into slavery?
These are terrible things but that is okay since the word of God stands forever, right? And doesn't it say in the Bible in II Timothy 3:16 that all scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching? What else did that particular verse say...what else was God's word supposedly good for? For reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
So, my point is if God's word stands forever just like it is written in the Bible and just as believers claim, well...there are problems. Serious problems. If God's word was all good then it is all good now...except for the thing with Abraham and his son, the thing with Lot and his daughters, selling children into slavery, stealing or at the very least scaring people into giving you their property, yada-yada plucka-plucka.
No. Nope. No way. You cannot pick and choose which verses are applicable to now and which ones are not. It is an all-or-nothing approach. You accept it all or not at all because the moment you try to explain away the inconsistencies is the very same moment that God must accordingly be found imperfect. You can't have an everlasting being uttering words that are supposed to be good for all time then decide to turn around and change the rules, or even use one thing from the Bible and not the others that are considered no longer applicable. Doing so would be a direct admission if by action alone that God's word is not so everlasting after all.
Pat, you have zero ground on which to stand. You cannot take something out of the Old Testament, such as the verses you cling to inregards to homosexuality, and then leave behind the things that don't fit your faith's evolution. You cannot say that God's word and actions are everlasting when it comes to homosexuality but then say that God's allowance of incest is antiquated (not to mention wrong and disgusting). You cannot have it both ways, Pat. It is an all or nothing issue.

Pat Robertson starts off real wierd in this video. When he says that it is an abomination for a man to lie with a man he forgets to tell his listeners that this particular edict of God was for those who followed the God of the Bible, for His chosen people.

No one is trying to force Christians to agree with gay marriage. No one is trying to force Christianity to affirm gay marriage. What people ARE trying to do is acquire the very same rights to marry whomever they choose to love. Gays and lesbians are not out to change anyone's view of gay marriage. They are pressing hard to acquire the rights afforded the citizens in this free nation. Gays and lesbians are not asking to control anything having to do with Christianity or asking people to stop worshiping the God of the Bible or stop going to church or stop showing compassion and love and caring. They simply are pressing for the right to marry whomever it is they desire to spend their life with.
And for the record, Pat Robertson, the institution of marriage was not developed solely as a path or process to procreation as there were other more important reasons. Some of these reasons had to do with property and ownership and economic reasons and alliances and not one goddamn thing with having children. Sure, SOME people believe that you have to be married to have children, but not all people believe in such a manner and there is more than just a little proof of this throughout recorded history. Sometimes, Pat, people get married because they wish to spend their life with someone. Sometimes people who get married do not want to have children at all.
One more thing, Pat, the God of your Bible most certainly did not create marriage as you so try to allude in the various scriptural snippets you love to recite. Do you know when your Bible is supposed to have been written? Some would put the date pretty close to 1400 to 1450 B.C. When was marriage first practiced by humans? Well sweetheart, it predates recorded history and can vary widely from culture to culture.

Do you want to know what is an abomination, Pat? It is an abomination that many of those within religion, Christianity and similar religions in particular, harass, harm, maim, kill, threaten, murder, mistreat, abhor, and deprive people of rights when those people do not live and love according to Christian/established religion/Bible/Quran rules. Hurting and harming people who live and love differently that you. Wow.
The really sad part is you and many people like you are so sure of your religious/spiritual correctness that you are fucked in the head and cannot see that you and your God and the book from which you create a list of things God wants you to do or not do are detrimental to humankind and encourage division and hate.

Listen to what you are saying, Pat. People who want a dictatorship, to control everything. That is precisely what Christianity does. You are very much the pot calling the kettle black. Not everyone within Christianity is a douchebag bully, but people like you ARE because YOU are really the people who want a dictatorship where YOU and the screwy God of your Bible tell everyone else what to do and how to do it and when and why. You are a shame and an affront to the everlasting love and compassion that your God and your faith are suppposed to possess.

What the fuck are you talking about? How the hell would you know how gays and lesbians feel within their hearts? And how dare you try to assert that people in same-sex relationships are not or cannot be happy. There are plenty of people in same-sex and opposite-sex relationships that are happy and plenty that are sad.
The way you try to twist and turn snippets of information you have gathered into some kind of moral shield for your stupidity and spiritual aloofness is a goddamn shame. If you took half of the energy you spend on condemning gays and lesbians and put all of that energy into helping the poor you would have a far better effect on the world around you and the people in it.
And for the love of Christ STOP saying that the laws of the United States of America come from your goddamn Bible. The laws of this nation DID NOT come from the Bible or any other holy book.

It does not matter what you believe religiously speaking. That is your belief and you are certainly free to express such. However, the moment that your expression of religion impinges on the rights and freedoms and liberties of those around you you are wrong. Using your deluded faith to fashion laws under which EVERYONE should be required to live is unethical in every sense and does nothing to aid humankind.

Fucking idiot. This guy should unaquire his ass-backward religion that has for one reason or the other abandoned the message of love, if that message ever existed at all.

Listen here, douchebag, just because a group is a minority group that does not mean you have a right to try to limit or revoke the rights of that group when those rights are or should be universal. You are purposely trying to twist and turn the issue and the facts until you have something with which you can try to convince people that the minority gay/lesbian community/segment of the population have no rights or do not deserve rights.

Total creep, Pat. You are a total creep.

You know, Pat, the problem is not people being gay or lesbian or traveling upon such a road. The problem is people like you manipulating other people into hating and mistreating the gay and lesbian community under the guise that such individuals are not worthy of, nor do they deserve the rights you have.

You stupid mother fucker. The comments you make here are case-in-point of your delusions, your insane desire to control all those who would believe differently than you, your propensity for stretching the truth and the facts, and your support (inferenced) of harming gays and lesbians. Go to hell, Pat. Go to hell.

Rules of Marriage #1

This is so funny! The priest's voice at the beginning of the clip is totally nothing like you would expect to hear.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSIObGJhgSs&list=PLC767D1EB39788E5B

I see how it is. Christians can tell others how to live and how and why an intimate relationship will develop, but lord have mercy if you ever tell a Christian how to live. Hey, I have no problem if they wish to live in such a manner. I DO have a problem with Christians or anyone else for that matter telling me who I can and cannot marry or be in a relationship with.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meKEcAUidMk

Say, I wish to relay something to you. Remember that verse in the Bible that says, "...love is patient, love is kind?" Oh, and there is a part that says love conquers all. I think this includes same-sex marriage.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NquoScQoBnA

Very well stated.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVQIZkRyToM

This lady is trying far too hard to sound like a newscaster. So, Dr. Jennifer, I take it you are trying to push forward with your idea that gay marriage is not a good thing because it does not garner the financial windfall people thought it would. So fucking what. The bottom line here on this issue has nothing to do with taxes and everything to do with personal and legal rights that should be even to everyone across the board. What makes your definition of marraige better than the next person's? Do you think a cutesy little book of murderous fairy tales (the Holy Bible) gives you some kind of authority over everyone else in the category of relationships?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uew9wye7GTk

Ahhh, GOD'S plan for mankind and society. My bad. Here I was thinking that people must act fairly and responsibly and not according to any kind of fucked up dogma regurgitated by a hateful little book that is passed off as perfection by hordes of deluded Christians. Now, let us go straight to the part where this slug says gays and lesbians have no right to be gay or lesbian. You are wrong. I have the right to live peaceably and without the absurd confines of your idiotic and ramshackle faith. I don't want your screwy God, your screwy Bible, or your screwy set of beliefs that has been proven by history to be quite the dividing factor in many cultures.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1P59RCjuRY

The people truly believe they are doing the LORD'S work. Whatever. If you want to believe that there are such things as sin and hell, hey...go for it. You believe that mumbo-jumbo if you want. Don't expect me to want to listen to or follow such treasonous and trecherous ideals. You are free to your religion and I am free from it. Carry on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGN6wdGGFfM

Look, if you want to believe this bullshit then you go right on ahead and believe in it. Which part don't you get, though...the part where I say "I don't want to hear it" or the part where I say "Go away?" Mr. Pat Robertson, world's oldest religious coot and codger, seems to think that it is up to him and his deluded faith to tell everyone about all the wrong that they are doing. Sorry Pat, if you can formulate a legal argument (which you cannot) then fine. Until then, shut the hell up. Your religion is fine for YOU not for ME. I am not asking you to marry a man or become homosexual. I am saying it is my right, being a woman of free mind and free will and free spirit to engage in a relationship with an individual of the same gender if I so please. That is my right. I cannot take away your right to believe in whatever crazy asshole God you believe in, and you cannot take away my right to love whomever I choose to love.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EfGFYwuILg

Mister Romney, I do not believe in your God and therefore do not live by His rules or His description and definition of what marriage is. You go right on ahead and put that in all the religious speeches you want, but keep that crap out of politics. Your bigot two-faced God has no place in politics.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NerRoRRbO4Y

Oh look, Opie is giving a sermon on what marriage is. Good for you and your wife, buddy. Good for you and your wife and your special religion. Good for you. And by the way you totally sound like a stalker as you talk about how you met your wife. Isn't that good for you. Remember, though, your marriage rules are by your religion. Loads of people could give a shit about your religion. People are not saying that you cannot believe in your Bible's version of marriage. People ARE saying that just because YOU want to live by such monkey turds does not mean the rest of society desires to do the same.

This guy is hilarious and he has a voice you would associate with radio station personalities.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSR_W35DDkU

Wow, you can see this guy decided to spare no expense and dress really nice for church.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVSJ33n7OnA

Kirk Cameron has more than just one screw loose. Maybe he decided that this is the best way for him to stay in the spotlight as much as possible considering that his "Growing Pains" days are long over.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9TPeRCNbdI

This video is delicious fun.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBj2ZTpUaYI

This is such an awesome clip, especially when the preaching guy asks the professor if he has ever used logic and the teacher responds, "When did I deny logic? I teach logic, motherfucker."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om8VC4IfeRY

Mercy. Listen to what this guy prattles on about. He is truly having an exciting time? You coulda fooled me.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X6vVD1ZVC0

Ahh, another douche from the Land of Douchedom.
